Biography

Vini Cavalieri was born in 1985 in Jacarepaguá, in the west of Rio de Janeiro. He started playing music at 12 and became a professional percussionist; in the visual arts, he found another means of expression in painting.

With degrees in Business Administration and Performing Arts, he found his calling in theatre. He spent around ten years training at schools such as CAL, Cesgranrio and the Wolf Maia Acting School, as well as attending open classes at Stella Adler in Los Angeles.

On stage, he won Best Actor twice at the Festival de Cenas Curtas (2019 and 2022). On screen, he has appeared in the TV Globo telenovelas Travessia, Vai na Fé and Terra e Paixão, in Julien Seri's French feature KALI, in the feature Eulália, in the web series Cafetão and in short films by Renê Belmonte. In the web series América, he played Martim and received an honourable mention at the Rio Web Festival, as one of the three acting finalists.

He now divides his time between Rio de Janeiro and Lisbon, looking for new projects on both sides of the Atlantic.
